Updated Oct 10, 2026 · 1 link from the Radiant Optimizer list
The list includes a link named "Modern Warfare 2" pointing to a project hosted on Railway. During our check the server answered with a rate-limit error, which is common for small hobby servers that suddenly get millions of visitors.
We will update this page once the project loads. Until then, the zombies rebuilds are the most reliable Call of Duty related links on the list.
Listed in the post as Modern Warfare 2.
The server answered our check with a rate-limit error, which usually means it is overloaded by traffic from the viral post. We have not been able to confirm what the project contains.

The Radiant Optimizer list includes a link called "Modern Warfare 2" that points to a project hosted on Railway, a cloud platform popular with hobby developers. On every check we have run so far, the server replied with a rate-limit error. That is the typical reaction of a small server suddenly hit by millions of visitors, not proof that the project is gone.
Because we have not been able to load it, we cannot honestly tell you what MW2 in browser contains: which maps, which modes, or whether it needs files. This page will be updated as soon as the server responds. Until then, treat any site claiming to host the full Modern Warfare 2 in a browser with caution.
The name covers three different games. The original Modern Warfare 2 came out in 2009 from Infinity Ward and is remembered for Terminal Rangers, Favela and the Special Ops co-op missions. A remastered version of its campaign followed in 2020. In 2022 a completely new Modern Warfare II reused the title.
Searches for MW2 in browser almost always mean the 2009 game, usually the classic multiplayer maps like Rust, Terminal and Highrise. Fan projects tend to rebuild a single small map like Rust, because it is compact and iconic. If the Railway project returns, that is the most likely shape it will take.
We record these states on the Radiant Optimizer games list so you can see at a glance whether a link was up at the last check.
Popular shooter names attract fake mirrors. Real browser projects never need a downloaded launcher, a browser extension, or your Activision or Steam login. If a page asks for any of those, leave. Our safety guide explains the common tricks in more detail.
For a Call of Duty feel that loads today, try the COD zombies in browser rebuilds or the Black Ops 2 map shooter. For fast online multiplayer, Urban Terror and the Quake servers are the closest match on the list and both work without files.
If a working MW2 in browser project appears, it will most likely rebuild one compact map. Rust, the small desert oil yard, is the favorite for one-on-one fights. Terminal, Highrise and Favela are the other names that come up most often in fan discussions. We will list the map and modes here as soon as the project loads.
When the server responds, we will load the project, note what it actually contains, whether it needs files, and which controls it uses, and update the status label on this page and on the main list. Until we can do that, we will not describe the game, because guessing would only add to the confusion around the viral list.
We could not confirm it yet. The project did not load during our check.
Try the Call of Duty zombies maps or the Vibe Slops II shooter. Both load directly.
Possibly. Rate limiting usually means overload rather than removal. We re-check daily.
Not from any project we have verified. The official Modern Warfare 2 games require a PC or console install.
